Patient Details

This patient came to Dr. Anton with two major breast implant problems, a Grade 4 capsular contracture and a ruptured silicone gel implant in her left breast. She became concerned when her left breast began to swell. An MRI pointed to the possibility of a rupture. During her exam with Dr. Anton, she also indicated that she was unhappy with the large size and shape of her breasts, which had sagged significantly since her 1999 breast augmentation. She desired smaller, perkier breasts. Initially, she wanted to replace her implants, but the more she thought about it, the more she decided that she wanted to remove them. Dr. Anton recommended leaving the capsule in place to help shape and support the breasts after removing the implants.

In surgery, Dr. Anton performed a bilateral breast revision implant removal with a no-drain Super Breast Lift. He removed a 240cc intact implant from her right side and a 220cc ruptured implant from her left side. To further reduce the size of her breast, he removed tissue and fat for a total of 435g on the right and 420g on the left. Surgical time was 4 hrs and 30 min. The patient was so happy with her new breasts that it inspired her to lose 15 pounds after her surgery. Photos were taken 6 weeks post op. Scars continue to improve for one year.
