How to Get a Sizzling Summer Body

We’ve barely sprung into spring and already it’s time to start thinking summer swimsuit bodies. Whether your goal is to drop a few pounds or add a few curves in all the right places, Anton Aesthetics in Newport Beach, California can help your summer body take shape.

The most popular cosmetic procedure is Breast Augmentation. Nearly 300,000 procedures were performed in 2012, according to recent statistical data reported by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Several years ago the trend in breast augmentation was “the bigger the better.” Today, the trend is for a more natural look that adds balance to the body. Natural results are what distinguish Dr. Anton from other plastic surgeons, as evidenced by his before and after breast photos.

Curves Ahead

A Breast Augmentation is performed to increase the current size and volume of a patient’s breasts. A good candidate for this procedure has one or more of the following concerns:

  • Change in breast shape/volume
  • Optimizing and balancing one’s body
  • Asymmetry in breasts – Having one breast that is larger than the other is common in many women and can be corrected with a breast augmentation to achieve breasts that are symmetrical.

If you are contemplating a breast augmentation surgery, the first step is scheduling your consultation in our Newport Beach plastic surgery office. Every surgeon has his or her own approach to breast augmentation, and in his consultations, Dr. Anton takes the time to fully educate his patients on how he performs the surgery as well as describe the risks and benefits of the procedure.

Breast Augmentation Incisions

This diagram depicts the 3 types of incisions Dr. Anton uses for Breast Augmentation as discussed in the consultation:

  • Superior of the Peri-Aerolar
  • Interior of the Peri-Aerolar
  • Inframammary Fold

One of the more common complications with breast augmentation is post surgical capsular contracture (hardening of the area around the implant). Dr. Anton is able to minimize risk of capsular contracture by employing the following surgical techniques:

  1. Placing the implant under the muscle
  2. Not using drains
  3. Creating a dry (blood free) space where the implant is placed
  4. Instructing post-surgical, at-home breast implant massaging

After your consultation, you will receive a homework assignment. Don’t worry, this is fun homework — Determining Your Optimal Size Breast Implant. This is an important step in the process to having the breasts you desire. At your pre-op appointment in our plastic surgery office, you will turn your homework in to Tammy, Dr. Anton’s nurse, and she will help find the optimal size implant that you desire! Tammy has been with Dr. Anton for more than a decade and is an expert at sizing. To learn more about what implants are the right size for you, download our Breast Implant Size Guide.

Our nutritional counselor offers you a lifestyle plan that you can and will want to sustain for your health and vitality.

At Anton Aesthetics, we believe that beauty is the dance between the inner and outer self. How you feel affects how you look, and how you look affects how you feel. Balance is the key. Plastic surgery can help bring the outer body into balance, while nutritional counseling can help with the inner body. That makes for one sizzling summer body!
